Laser Light Magic

LaserLight Magic is created by, P.C. "Manick" Sorcar, the former CEO and President of Sorcar Engineering, Inc. of Denver, Colorado, USA. He is the author of three lighting design texts (published by McGraw-Hill, John Wiley & Sons and Van Nostrand Reinhold company), used for illuminating and architectural engineering at many universities in the USA and India. His company was the lighting designer for several multimillion-dollar projects around the world including the Denver international Airport, Colorado Convention Center, palaces for princes in Saudi Arabia and sports centers in Japan. Sorcar is also an accomplished animator and artist. His work has earned him top awards at international competitions and brought him global recognition. After balancing his work as an engineer and an artist for 38 years, he retired from his highly successful practice in engineering in 2012 to devote himself full-time to his love for art. H

Under the banner of Manick Sorcar Productions, he is the creator of several animation classics, which won prestigious awards at international film festivals and were nationally telecast at Doordarshan (the government channel) in India, and at the Rocky Mountain PBS stations of the USA for 25 years in a row. Since 2000, he has taken animation to a new level by using lasers as the medium and uniquely manipulating the strong beam to act as a harmless paintbrush and creating shows with it evoking emotions. His laser animation is a major part of his world-touring stage shows, which is an extravaganza of lasers, animation, and live action on stage.
